Tina and Amanda

Tina Louise was an American singer, actress, and writer who is best recognized in the role of Ginger Grant from the TV series Gilligan's Island. The musical Bettle performed in Two's Company was her first stage role in the 50s. In the 1950s she performed as a stage artist in a few Broadway productions before gaining into national fame with the release of Li'l Abner's performance in the year 1957. In the same year, she recorded her first album of music It's Time to Tina. Louise began the first phase of her Hollywood career in 1958, in which she portrayed Griselda Walden in God's Little Acre, a drama film. It was an enormous success and Louise was awarded the Golden Globe Award for the New Star of the Years category. In this time she was a student at the Actors Studio of New York. Lee Strasberg was her teacher. Louise joined CBS in 1964 as Ginger Grant. Louise continued to juggle her career between Broadway as well as Hollywood playing more serious characters as in contrast to her portrayal of herself as a glamorous woman. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. SG-1 & Sanctuary, although she was an accomplished television director on several series including Supernatural & The 100. Her family relocated to Essex to Toronto, where she spent childhood and adolescence. Samantha Carter was chosen in 1997 for the role, and has been settling down to Toronto since then.
